The Olive Branch is the brainchild of Alan Mulholland of Strain Engineering & Co Limited. The Charity was founded this year with the ambitious purpose of setting up mental health and well-being centres throughout Northern Ireland. Pictured with Alan and his indomitable fellow-Director Leone Paul are (left to right) Lindsey Wallace, Kimberley McAuley and Shaun Fisher, all of Fisher Law, at the opening of the Charity’s first Centre in Magherafelt.
It was great to meet Emerise Martin, the Centre’s newly appointed Mental Health Counsellor, and several other of the Charity’s sponsors, who had also attended the opening. A sumptuous selection of foods was supplied by the outstanding Anne Marie Martin Catering.
The opening was the culmination of monumental fundraising activities by the Charity workers, including a hugely successful gala ball in May which followed an all-stars rugby match at Rainey Old Boys R.F.C. in which each jersey was individually sponsored. Alan and Leone kindly handed out the jerseys to each of the sponsors at the opening. Ours is being framed so it can be hung prominently in the office!
